英語の「コロケーション（collocation）」とは、自然に一緒に使われる単語の組み合わせを指します。
たとえば「make a decision（決断する）」や「take a break（休憩を取る）」など、単語単体でなく「組み合わせ」で覚えることで、より自然で正確な英語が使えるようになります。
TOEICでは、単語の意味だけでなく「どの単語と一緒に使われるか」が問われる問題が多く出題されます。
例えば「（ _ ) a presentation」という問題で、正解は「give a presentation（プレゼンをする）」です。
単語を1つずつ覚えるより、セットで暗記する方がスコアアップにつながります。
